5th and 6th class girls recently took part in the Cumann na mBunscol Gaelic football blitz in Bray Emmets and as usual St. Kevin’s pupils did their school proud. Thanks to Grainne for coming along and taking charge of one of the teams on the day. As you can see from the pictures everybody had a great time. Is aoibhinn linn bheith ag imirt peil!!
Well done to the athletes who represented us at the Wicklow Invitational Cross Country relays. There were over 30 schools in attendance and the children conducted themselves commendably as ever. They were great sportsmen and women but also tough and resilient when they needed to be. Every team had a top 10 finish which is remarkable in such a huge field. Special congratulations to our gold medal winners – 4th class boys, 5th and 6th class girls, silver medal winners – 3rd class girls and bronze medal winners 5th and 6th class boys. Special thanks to Fiona, Orla, Rebecca and Jane who helped out and to Mr. Flynn and Ms. Lambkin who organised.
St. Kevin’s girls from 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th class had their first camogie blitz of the year last Friday in Éire Óg. Both junior and senior teams did very well and had a lot of fun along the way. Thanks to all parents to helped out on the day.
There were over 70 children present on the day and the girls had a great
time, built new skills and met new friends.
The girls had a chance to freshen up their Gaelige on the day as well as
many of the referees conducted the games as Gaeilge. This inspired others
to join in including the girls, the parents and the GAA coaches.
There is an article on it in the most recent Wicklow People / Bray People (see photo above).
