We are delighted to announce that St. Kevin’s has, once again, been awarded for the standards set in Science and Maths throughout the school.
All the students and teachers have worked exceptionally hard this year to bring Science and Maths together through exciting experiments (you can see most of these activities on the blog!) and they have been rewarded for their wonderful observation, scientific and mathematical skills.
Well done to everyone in the school for their great contribution and a particular thanks to all the teachers for making it possible!
The two 1st Classes visited Dublin Zoo for their school tour. We had a fantastic time at the zoo and saw some amazing animals.
Take a look at the video below to see some photos of children from Mr. Sheekey’s class.
5th class travelled to the Dublin mountains last Friday on their school tour to Zipit. It proved to be a fantastic day for pupils and adults as after a cold start the sun shone through and great fun was had by all. Thanks to Donna and Margaret for their help on the day. Enjoy the pics….!
Ms. Murtagh’s class went on a Greystones Trail last week. Their first stop was at the post box at Brady’s to post their letters ( They wrote letters to people they admire and they really hope they get some replies. Fingers crossed! ). They then walked up Church Road to examine the natural and man made features there. They then turned down the lane way beside Jill’s playschool and headed over the train tracks by bridge and down to the harbour. They were lucky enough to catch sight of a flock of pigeons being released into the sky! The class examined some interesting shells and rocks and then visited Joe Sweeney’s for an icecream and a well earned rest. The weather was on their side and they had an excellent day out.
Mr. McCarthy’s and Ms. Dorman’s 2nd classes went on their tour to Greenan Maze and Farm this week. We had a fantastic time exploring the mazes, visiting the museums and making new animal friends! Check out our video to see the fun things we got up to on the day!
I made it about the sea because it is a wonderful place to be.
I made it on Puppet Pals.
My favourite part is when Fin the Fish tazers Sam the Shark.
So sit back and relax and watch my fantastic, hilarious super cartoon.
(Dara Mc Gowan, 3rd class.)
Congratulations to Luke Dorgan, Jakob Browner,Jack O’Sullivan & Freddie Happonen on their golfing win today. Full report to follow. Perhaps there is another Rory McIllroy waiting in the wings in Greystones!
