Congratulations to the boys and girls in 2nd Class who made their First Holy Communion on Saturday, 21st April. It was a fantastic day and the children worked incredibly hard to prepare for their special day. Many thanks to Fr. John for all his help all year to get the boys and girls ready for the sacraments of First Communion and Reconciliation. Ms. Begg, Mr. O’Neill and the school choir deserve special thanks for their wonderful singing on the day!
Here are some photographs from the children’s big day!
Happy Easter from all of our Senior Infants!
Many thanks to everyone who brought in presents for our St. Vincent De Paul appeal. As you can see, people were very generous. The boys and girls that get them will be very happy.
The classes that raised the most average amount of money for the sponsored walk were Ms. Harmon’s Class, Mr. Mc Carthy’s Class and Ms. Kelly’s class. Therefore, on Wednesday they will have a pizza party for the class. Congratulations boys and girls and hard luck to the other classes. There’s always next year
Straight after the sponsored walk the whole school gathered in the middle yard to perform our very own St. Kevin’s version of the song “Up town Funk You Up.” Click on the image above to watch a video. Many thanks to Belinda for teaching the classes the dance throughout the week. It was a great success and a lovely way to finish a great week.
Click here and here for videos of today’s sponsored walk. To see photos from the day click here. Many thanks to all the parents for helping out and Belinda for doing the whole school song and dance.
The children in St. Kevin’s are learning a dance and rap as part of Healthy Mind Healthy Body Week. Thanks to Belinda for all of her hard work so far! We are going to perform the dance as a whole school on Friday after our sponsored walk. Watch this space!
Here is a video of Junior Infants practising their moves!
May is a special month as all 2nd classes will have their First Holy Communion ceremonies. All 3 classes have been working very hard! Ms Harmon and Ms O’Hara’s 2nd classes will be celebrating their First Holy Communion this week in the Holy Rosary Church in Greystones. We wish them the very best of luck for it and hope they have a fantastic day!
For this week’s ‘Question of the Week’, we are asking you to guess how many pieces of artwork will be on display in the Holy Rosary Church in Greystones on Saturday?
The student with the closest guess will earn themselves a written homework pass. Think carefully about your answer. Best of luck everyone!
