The doctors and nurses from Junior Infants have been busy treating lots of patients this month! Click on the picture below to read some useful advice on staying healthy.
The doctors and nurses from Mr.Sheekey’s Junior Infants have been busy this week. If you are feeling unwell, call in to Room One for a check up and maybe even an x-ray!
Spuddy and Grumble were great friends… Until their healthy rugby rivalry turned into something more serious!
After allegations of bullying, Mr. McCarthy’s 2nd Class and Mr. Sheekey’s 1st Class got together to find out what really happened and to help them sort out their silly fight.
We are glad to report that Spuddy and Grumble have kissed and made up and are now back to being best buddies once again. They wrote letters to each other explaining what had really happened and apologised for being mean. Thank goodness for that!!
We’re glad we nipped this in the bud because it could easily have turned into bullying! Remember to follow our ABC at all times.
St. Kevin’s ABC (Anti-Bullying Code)
- Stay calm & look confident
- Speak loudly and firmly
- Don’t be mean back
- Get away
- Tell an adult
Ms.Murtagh’s class have been busy this month getting to know each other and having FUN! We each completed a “Personal Shoebox Project” which really helped us get to know more about each other’s special talents and histories. The project involved filling a shoebox with personal items and telling the class all about them. We realised that we are all unique but that we are similar and connected in many ways!
Check out the video to see parts of our projects.
On Thursday the Junior & Senior Infants got a talk about Road safety. A big thank you to Mary Carroll who spoke to the children about the safe cross code! Junior Infants received their high vis vest. We hope to see the children wearing them when coming and going from school.
