3rd Class Carol Singing in the Town

carol singing

Third Class sang up the town on Friday in aid of the Wicklow Hospice. They raised €200 in less than an hour and we would like to thank their teachers, Mr. O’Neill and Ms. Begg for preparing them so well. We would also like to thank the many parents that turned out to support the children and for their very generous donations to this worthy charity.

See letter below from Wicklow Hospice

To all in St Kevin’s school,

On behalf of the Wicklow Hospice I would like to thank all the students ,
Teachers and supporters who helped out with the carol service in aid of the
Wicklow Hospice Foundation.

The Wicklow Hospice is moving forward in a very positive manner and with
community fundraisers such as this one, we are constantly getting closer to
building the first ever Hospice for the people of Co Wicklow  and North

Once again huge thanks from the Wicklow Hospice. We would like to wish you
all a very Happy Christmas and an exciting 2016!🎄

Kindest regards,
Sinead Tarmey

Santa Visits St. Kevin’s

Santa came to visit St. Kevin’s on Friday. He said the boys and girls in St. Kevin’s were all on the nice list.

Unfortunately Ms. Russell’s class were not in the room when Santa called first. Santa did go back to visit them, but his elf was unable to video as he had to attend Mr. O’Sullivan’s class play. We hope you enjoy the videos. Please make sure to take the time and leave a comment.

Question of the Week – ‘Caption the Picture’

Christmas is nearly here and everyone is busy putting up their decorations!

This week, we are looking for the funniest caption to the picture above.

Take your time and write a short and funny caption. Have a look at our funny example below to help you out. Remember, the winner gets a night off written homework. We’ll pick the winner next Tuesday. Good luck everyone!

‘Question of the Week’ winner

Congratulations to Rebecca from Mr. McNeice’s 6th class who won last week’s competition. She gave a very witty description of the weather using only 5 words (“Elsa isn’t letting it go!”) and earned herself a homework pass! A photo will follow!

Well done to everyone who entered! Will you be the next winner? Make sure you keep an eye on the blog for the next ‘Question of the Week’.
