Room One Restaurant has been receiving great reviews since opening last month. Mr. Sheekey’s Junior Infants also branched out into the delivery business with some mixed results. Some classes were delighted with their delivery although not everyone received what they ordered!
Our restaurant has now closed but we are excited for everyone to see our next business!
The school field is getting a major overhaul. Look at all the extra drainage that’s going in. The pitch should be ready in May to play on.
3rd-6th Classes took part in the Wicklow cross country Athletics relay race today. The school won six gold medals and once bronze. Congratulations to all our runners. We are very proud of each and every one of you. Click on the image above for some photos.
5th class treated Mr McDonnell’s Senior Infants to some wonderful art & some fabulous readings on Roald Dahl Day!!!
For the past few weeks 6th class have been learning about the history of Greystones.
Firstly, we conducted interviews with people in our families who have been living in Greystones for a long time. The following day in class we did KWL charts and saw lots of interesting pictures on www.greystonesguide.ie.
On Thursday, we all went on a walk to St. Crispin’s Cell. We started at our school then walked down by the marina. We continued along the cliff walk towards Bray and then arrived at St. Crispin’s Cell. There, we learned that St. Crispin was the patron saint of shoemakers and the cell that is there now was once a small medieval church. On our way back to school we walked through Redford estate.
When we got back to school, teacher gave us a questionnaire to see how well we knew the history of Greystones. I’m glad to say I answered quite a lot of them!
Overall, we had a fun and interesting time learning about the history of Greystones. Thank you to Ms. Brennan and Mr. O’Neill for bringing us on such a lovely and fun walk.

Áine and Joshua were sent to my office today to show off their amazing work. Áine made a rainbow out of sweets for Roald Dahl day and all I wanted to do was eat the page!
