4th class ‘Animal Habitats’ project!

We’ve been learning all about different animal habitats in 4th class. Ocean, jungle, arctic, woodlands…you name it, we’ve got it covered! Each group got to research facts and information on their chosen topic. We then worked together to create these eye-catching posters. The best part was that we got to present our projects to the class and tell them all that we had learned. Take a look! IMG_4585IMG_4581IMG_4595IMG_4607IMG_4641IMG_4645IMG_4629IMG_4636IMG_4651

ABC Assembly

1st-6th class will be gathering in the hall for a special Anti-bullying Month assembly  on Thursday. We are a telling school. We try to make friends with everyone in school and at home.

YouveGotaFriendinMe

YOU’VE GOT A FRIEND IN ME

You’ve got a friend in me
You’ve got a friend in me
When the road looks rough ahead
And you’re miles and miles
From your nice warm bed
Just remember what your old pal said
Boy, you’ve got a friend in me

You’ve got a friend in me

You’ve got a friend in me

You’ve got a friend in me

You’ve got troubles, well I’ve got ’em too

There isn’t anything I wouldn’t do for you
We stick together and we see it through
You’ve got a friend in me
You’ve got a friend in me

Some other folks might be
A little bit smarter than I am
Bigger and stronger too
Maybe
But none of them will ever love you the way I do
It’s me and you

And as the years go by
Our friendship will never die
You’re gonna see
It’s our destiny
You’ve got a friend in me
You’ve got a friend in me
You’ve got a friend in me

Intel Mini Scientist 2016

A big well done to our two 6th classes who competed in the Intel Mini Scientist Competition today. Parents, teachers and fellow students were all very impressed by your work and the judges had a very tough time picking a winner. The runner-up prize went to the fascinating (if slightly gruesome!) project about the lungs and smoking awareness by Anna, Ríona, Sarah H. and Lucy. Our winners were Jack K., Janek, Jack Mc. and Callum with their highly informative project about diabetes. The boys will now advance to the regional final and we wish them the very best of luck!
