We Have “Lift”Off
Check out our new lift in the school which was installed over the Easter holidays. It’s great because now everyone can access the second floor of the school. It also looks a little bit like a time machine. If you were to go back or forward in time what year would you go to and why?

“Write a Book” Winners
Ms. Hynes’ Class were one of four classes that took part in the national “Write a Book” competition. Pictured above are the winners from her class. Well done to everyone who took part.
Floating and Sinking Science Experiments in Second Class (Ms. O’Hara)
As part of our scientific studies, we were given a certain quantity and type of materials and we constructed boats with the aim to make them float. We added items e.g coins to see if the boats could take the weight and stay afloat. We illustrated and wrote up our findings afterwards. We learnt a lot from this Floating and Sinking Experiment.
Setting sail on The Titanic Ship in Second Class (Ms. O’Hara)
We learnt all about the great Titanic Ship and we made these amazing models of the Titanic at home. We put them on display in Room 9 and also in the school for all the other classes and their teachers to see. We made the models from mainly found materials we had at home. We also made some form Lego and we even h ave a specially designed Lego Titanic! We are all really proud of ourselves for making such magnificent ships!

As part of the dance Strand in P.E, we learnt the steps to the Siege of Ennis Irish dance! We danced with the other classes and had so much fun!
