4th Class at the National Gallery

Mr. McNeice’s 4th class visited the National Gallery of Ireland in Dublin City centre today. It was a fantastic trip where we got to see some wonderful artwork. We had been studying Vincent Van Gogh and Pablo Picasso’s Cubism in class so it was great to see some of their work up close! A huge thanks to our tour guides Valerie and Daire and to Olive and Helen for helping us throughout the day.

We look forward to visiting the Gallery again to see some of their new exhibitions!

6th Class Trail of Greystones

Both 6th classes spent September studying Greystones: the history, the geography, the natural features, etc. This included a trail around Greystones, where Mr O Neill gave us a very informative tour. Back in the classroom, we took a closer look at old maps of Greystones, current maps of Greystones and Wicklow, and delved into the history of the families that were influential in making Greystones the place it has become.

Thank you to the parents who helped out on the day of the trail.
